“THIS WEEK IN BLACK ROCK” WEEKLY EMAILS

The BRC issues a weekly e-mail listing concerts, events and activities of interest. BRC members and bands are featured prominently in the listings.

NETWORKING PIPELINE FOR MUSICIANS AND INDUSTRY INSIDERS

BRC members have access to others with similar interests in furthering the creation and dissemination of progressive Black music. A multi-disciplined group, musicians can connect with producers, booking agents and graphic designers, whereas non-musicians can offer their services and share their resources in relevant fields.

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

– The BRC Showcase is our artist platform for independent talent. We produce these shows at venues around New York City on a regular basis.
– The Black Rock Coalition Orchestra is a collection of the top musicians in the country who participate in repertory and tribute shows. The BRC has organized both international and US tours for both the BRC Orchestra and select member bands.

MUSIC CLINICS

From time to time, the BRC hosts educational clinics at which different musicians, producers and other creative people in the music industry present hands-on demonstrations of technique, tips and business advice in real world practical terms. Clinics are usually held in NYC.

PANEL DISCUSSIONS

As demand requires, the BRC organizes interactive discussions with music industry professionals to address a wide variety of subjects, dispensing crucial information and presenting incredible networking opportunities. Topics have ranged from copyrights and publishing, Internet distribution, marketing, radio and health benefits for working musicians. Knowledgeable participants have included Nile Rodgers, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, Imhotep Gary Byrd, Hal Jackson and Nona Hendryx.

BLACK ROCK COALITION RECORDS
